About the Hundred
This exercise is the first in the mat repertoire was designed as a warm-up to get you/your body ready for the rest of your workout.
It does this by:
- Increasing the circulation of cardiovascular & lymph systems throughout the body
- Coordinating the action of breathing to movement of arms to improve oxygenation
- Drawing mind's focus into connection with body
- Realigning the midline of the body to help reset the central nervous system
- Helping set the rhythm of the workout
